ABOUT

Sharon Mridul

I believe the quality of our lives is determined less by what we achieve and more by how we experience it.

For years, I chased success in the way many of us are taught to—through productivity, ambition and external milestones. Yet beneath the surface, I found myself asking a deeper question:

What does it really mean to live well?

That question has shaped every chapter of my life.

It led me to explore emotional intelligence, mindfulness, meditation, energy healing, movement, conscious living and the environments we create around ourselves. It inspired me to found OPILLAR, an Australian wellness brand that designs eco-smart products that enhance our well-being—from yoga and Pilates to the spaces we call home. It also inspired me to create the Beyond Wellness Podcast, where I sit down with pioneers in holistic health to uncover the stories, philosophies and practices that help us live with greater awareness and purpose.

But my greatest education didn't come from books or qualifications.

It came from life.

I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and raised in Sydney, Australia. Growing up in a home where emotions were often expressed through unpredictability and survival, I experienced firsthand how deeply our inner world shapes the quality of our relationships, our choices and ultimately our lives.

From a young age, I found myself questioning why we aren't taught how to understand our emotions, communicate with compassion or find peace within ourselves. I became fascinated by the idea that every behaviour has a deeper need beneath it, every emotion carries wisdom, and every challenge holds an opportunity for growth.

That curiosity became the beginning of a lifelong journey.

Over the years, I've immersed myself in yoga, Pilates, meditation, Reiki, philosophy, psychology and both Eastern and Western wisdom traditions—not in search of perfection, but in search of understanding. Along the way, I discovered that wellbeing isn't something we achieve once we've fixed ourselves. It's something we practise every day through how we think, how we relate, how we move, how we rest and how we choose to show up in the world.

Today, my mission is to help people intentionally design a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.

I don't claim to have all the answers.

I'm a lifelong student, researcher and practitioner who believes some of life's greatest lessons come from curiosity, reflection and lived experience. I hope that through honest conversations, practical wisdom and beautiful design, I can help others reconnect with themselves, regulate their emotions more effectively and create lives rooted in presence, purpose and inner peace.

Welcome.
